Few new rifles off the Allen Precision bench...

TK,

THey look so different because they are the customers designs. I tend to listen to them and build them the way they tell me to. I do have 4-5 of my specific designs including the XHS, XMS and XS but for the most part, I let them build them the way they want and thats why they look so different.

Its truely fun to build all these different looking rifles.

Sendero Man,

My personal feeling is that it matters not if you have a McMillan A-5 or Manner Tactical stock, both are extremely high quality. Price is similiar, generally get the Manners a bit sooner.

The Manner stocks do not have the color finish options like the McMillan but that is not a deal breaker most of the time.

McMillan has a few more models of stocks compared to Manner but it seems Tom is adding to his line every week.

I have always enjoyed working with Tom and he really goes over the top to help me out when it has been needed. In this day and age of extremely long waits for quality componants, Tom and his company truely stand out at the top of customer service. I fully endorse his products and him as a person. You will find there are no better out there to deal with.

As far as a packing rifle this one would be pretty hard to beat and it sure turned out nice. I really like the flat black with the grassland camo pattern. Darkens the camo pattern up and looks really classy in my opinion. The NF is a bit large for this sized rifle but once you got used to it you would never have a problem. I wish NF would come out with a 40mm version of their NXS. I for would would love to have one on several of my big game rifles, perhaps in conjunction with the new FFP reticle they are working on. Something like a 4.5-18x 40mm with a FFP NP-R1 reticle. Things to dream about......

Just something a bit different again to look at. Figured there can never be enough rifle porn around!!!

I'm really chompin at the bit to shoot that one.:D:D

I tried to paint the stock on my Edge to kind of match that grassland stock because I liked it so much.

If you had to guess what do you think that 6mm weighs with the NF on it? 7 1/2 - 8 lbs.

I hear ya on that 40mm NF. I think they'd sell.

It may be a bit over 8 lbs but not by much.

I need to get some pics of your Edge as well. I can post them as well if you want. Its paint job came out pretty close to that camo pattern.
