Federal does it again 😅

Just watched a video on this ...Not sure on make of firearm, but after each shot .. literally couldn't open the bolt without leaving shooting position and you could see and hear the primary cam extraction working over time!! I'm out
No I'm wildly in so that action makers will be forced to get primary extraction right lol

Speed freak that I am….

This is exciting and all, but if we can use an 80kpsi rated case and rifle to turn a standard sized cartridge out of a shorter barrel into the ballistic equivalent of a magnum with a long barrel….

When can we see what an 80kpsi rated RUM sized case out of a 28-30 inch pipe does? 😁😁😁😁
THIS.

Will be a Wildcatters dream.
Hopefully the brass will be available without buying ammo. 😃👍

Hornadys Only dropped support for the pile of cartridges it partnered with to bring to market.....

6.5 prc is a good enough to stand on its own, it fits a short action better than near ballistic twin of the 6.5x284 and puts itself in a category with a lot of market potential. If they keep support of it, its gonna make it. 300 prc is 30 cal magnum with a better twist for long range and a bit less recoil than the 300 rum. My guess is that it stays as well.

7 prc.... it will last as long as the 280ai wave we had about 10 years ago. Not a bad idea just a crowded space to push itself into.

Id guess the 7 backcountry is just an iteration in the evolution of what will become standard. The dakota and lazzeronis were clearly the forefathers of the short mag craze. Ive seen 300wsm in remote village stores alongside bog standard legacy cartridges. Hate to try and find brass for a Dakota round these days but they were needed to get to where we are now. My guess is the new hybrid cases will have a similar 70% attrition rate, eventually one will take and become common.
