My buddy tangled with one on a Honda 400ex. Neither of them faired well but they both lived. Apparently a 50mph hit from a dude on a 4 wheeler is not enough.

It rarely gets mentioned but that .358 Win AR-10 just might be the 'ultimate' hog shooting machine. Large diameter bullet with lots of firepower on tap, but with longer reach than the .458 Socom (and equivalent big bores.) It's a good looking rifle @Darryle!

I have 375 and 458 Socom rifles, but for flat out destroying a target, the 358 is king

Those are nice. Did you get those on a private hunt or are those free range (backyard) and if they were on a hunt do you mind sharing that info?

Free range on an Oklahoma cattle ranch.

M38 mauser converted to .45ACP with .460Rowland brass modified to .888" and then set up to launch 230gr FMJ ball slugs to 1800+fps or 200gr TMJ SWC's at 2050fps. Knocks hogs flat. Shatters bones so they don't go far if they go anywhere at all.

I've been looking at these ATN's, have you compared yours to the Pulsar digital NV?

No sir I have not, but so far I really like it. I think the directions were translated from another language so you have to kind of work with it to pick up on the missing info.

I was able to get a 10000ma battery for $17.00, butt stock pouch for $11.00 (both from Amazon) and a coiled cable with 90 degree ends (Fox Optis) for $14.00...best $42.00 I ever spent. I turned it on when I left the truck on two PM hunts, two night hunts and one AM hunt. Still had plenty juice left when we got home last night.

I highly recommend the ATN X-Sight II HD Day/Night 3 X 14 scope!

Isn't that called the ".358 Winchester" an "ole school" cartridge from yesteryear? Light on the recoil, easy to reload for and accurate. The round has gotten some bad press over the years as being a heavy recoiling, short range, brush cartridge; mine works good out to 200 yards, then it drops off quickly. I've got a couple of them, the round drops black bear like they were hit by lightening!
