Ever seen a spot like this in a barrel?

New Savage 6MM Creed. I cleaned before shooting and cleaned after I shot 2 rounds thru it to see if it went away. I sort of don't think it's copper. What are your thoughts?

Looks like a stain. Run a couple dry patches through and see if it's still there.

Yes it's still there. Looks like it's on top of the filling in the first picture.

Don't suppose you looked at it prior to shooting it? Looks like you should have felt it during cleaning the first time. I'd think it would have snagged a patch if it was there prior to shooting.

You can try this. It had my 6 Dasher barrel so shiny had to turn the light on my bore scope to low from glare.not sure it will get it but might be worth a try

Hmm, if a new barrel, is this a chrome moly barrel?? I wonder if it is a rust spot, it sort of looks like what I have seen in my Bergara. I had cleaned it with Bore Tech Carbon cleaner and put several dry patches down the bore to remove residue and put back in the safe.. A week later I went to shoot it and noticed rust on the thread cap, borescoped it and found rust spots in the barrel. It required me using JB Bore Paste to remove it.

Looks like a blemish in the steel when the barrel was made. If it shoots well,to your standards just clean the copper off and forget about it.

How does it shoot? I would be afraid to look in my savage factory barrel lol. But it shoots very well.

That's the issue with bore scopes. If its a great shooter, don't look in there. It will just make you nervous.
