Ever Misplace A Rifle in your Home

3 years ago up near Tensleep a buddy shot a cow elk. There was about 3 ft. of snow in the lower area down and up to elk near the top. I was working on the elk and one of the knives was a Cutting Edge Skinner. The kind with handle fits in your palm. Not an exchange blade. He borrowed then laid on the ground in the snow. When done I threw everything in my pack, even the empty knife case. I thought about it for a second and figured I put in the pack with the other knife I was using . Got home and I thought about it and asked buddy if he picked up the knife. No. Couldn't find it. Figured it was laying out there in the snow. Guess we'll go back in the spring. April we went out there. He marked spot on GPS. Still took awhile but found bone pile. There was the knife. Not a speck of rust on it. I was mad about losing it so I had bought another. I haven't seen them in Sporting goods stores for awhile. Got mine local here 3 years ago. Maybe can see if still make on Outdoor Edge Website ? I have one of their folders with exchange blade knife and a solid gut hook. It's not a hook tho. It had rounded end so doesn't poke and a curved knife edge. I love it. No way to poke in guts. Twice I've done a whole deer just with the gut blade.
I like their fixed exchange blade also. You can resharpen Outdoor Edge exchange blades.

Thats awesome.Did you do the serated teeth yourself? I've not seen on them .

I just found a 10/22 I hadn't seen in months. It was stuck on a shelf above the workbench. I then remembered I was walking it out to sit on my workbench to clean the barrel and sat it above to remove what I had on the bench.

Had a Vickers G19 lost for a while...then realized I had stuck it in a bag when I went to visit my son.

Still can't find parts I pulled off an AR upper...been looking for a week. I wanted the rail off it to put on another build I just finished but it's nowhere to be found.

I have a big Havalon folding Skinner exchange blade somewhere I can find. Just remembered after talking about knives. I know it's in one room but ? I think I'll look again today.

I ran into a deal on a .308 bolt rifle and convinced my wife I had to have it as I had an AR-15 and could shoot the same ammo. After the purchase I went to put my new rifle in the safe and front and center stood the .308 Ruger RSI I bought months before using the same argument. Thankfully I have a very understanding wife.
