Ever Misplace A Rifle in your Home

One that ticks me off is the mystery of why every other time I do a wash/dry of clothes a sock disappears ? No where to be found. I check inside shirts, etc., gone to the sock hiding place somewhere. I never find them inside anything, behind, side of washer and dryer. No where ! Reminds me of the guy on TV commercial telling his wife the pain is gone. No you don't understand . Gone ! 😁
I. Fold mine together before washing to avoid any losses

I lose knives often. Sometimes find. Most not. I had a Sog Titan clipped in my pocket about 7 years ago. I was in mtns. Went down a brushy trail to bottom to check trail cams. Went back to truck and went home. Later noticed knife gone. I figured it got pulled out while walking up or down brush. Went back a few days later and retraced my steps. Looked through brush. Where I walked to each trail cam. Nothing. Never found. Figured some day somebody will be excited to find. Not a great story. Just came to mind. I do have a good one left I just thought of ...🤔🙄
Every couple of years I lose my Leatherman❗️I ALWAYS have a new spare waiting!
Since a kid on the farm, I'll bet I've lost 35 knives

I was hunting Missionary Ridge above Lemon Reservoir maybe 15 years ago in drop camp. Just after huge burn. I have a jet black Magellan GPS at that time. The ground was jet black everywhere. I was hunting this burn area top of a canyon and saved a few waypoints since I had good sign and wanted to get there in dark following morning with hunting buddy. So back in tent after dinner, I decided to pull the Magellan out to see how far it was to take buddy next morning. Yeah, no Magellan! Tore pack apart and every pocket in vest. NADA!🤬 So next morning we go and sit somewhere I think close. Late morning we stroll across the burn. We stopped to glass and while we were discussing where to hunt rest of day, look down and there was my Magellan upside down even harder to see with solid black back and obviously no visible screen. Crazy that stopping in a spot where I somehow dropped it and inexplicably looked down at right time. Still have it!

Lmao I don't even have one! I still use maps 🤣❗
While I like my modern electronics, I still use and carry maps as backups or just because I am so familiar with them after so many years in the military. Often, I am amazed how many people can't read a map.

Oh, and maps never have their batteries die.
