I mean, I wouldn't do it literally. But that's a stout barrelI wouldn't... I saw a Browning 338win rifle once that had been driven over by a UPS truck... it was all sorts of funky

He did specify, car.I wouldn't... I saw a Browning 338win rifle once that had been driven over by a UPS truck... it was all sorts of funky
some "cars" actually have rather high tire loading... most are probably fewer #/sq-in. than a ups truck though. He did specify, car.
Then I am not gonna do an experiment with cars and trucks on my barrel. Not enough data.some "cars" actually have rather high tire loading... most are probably fewer #/sq-in. than a ups truck though.
How do you know that? It's called yield strength of metals. Unless you exert more pressure than it's yield strength the metal may deform but it will return to it's original state, the metal has not yielded.
Are you an engineer?Because I've worked in the engineering field for 30 years
So, I can hang my rifle horizontally and gravity won't bend it?I'm an EE not a ME but I've managed a team of engineers consisting of many disciplines for many years. It's just basic knowledge that you acquire over time
Yes it will bend depending on the balance of the rifle eg stock but weight and barrel brake suppressor. just make sure that you hang the rifle so the bend will occur with s vertical effect not horizontal to effect windage. when the barrel is bendingSo, I can hang my rifle horizontally and gravity won't bend it?
