I grew up and hunted NWMT.Ive been to gardnier and seen the 20000+ elk too.NOT ANYMORE,the wolfs ate them.I shot have my 40+ elk in a roadless wilderness area. This place is the same its been for last 100 years, except has wolfs now.In 20 hunts during last 5 years Ive seen one cow.I shot bull after bull up there and never dented them. You would see 100's of elk on winter range and big groups of large bulls, not now.I never saw a bull or a muley buck this season on west side.I am a extremely hard hunter, but only got 30 days in this season.I kept hunting journals since I was 30 years old.I use to see a 350 bull every year.I also hunted ID panhandle, for 5-6 years.Id shoot a bull there too. Then the wolfs showed up.Funny how people that have never seen this have such a expert opinion.I saw how the wolf moved locally and still is.my friends left their hunting spots and moved to mine, now I feel forced to hunt east side just to find a elk opertunity. Its really sad.Everywhere Ive hunted last number off years has wolf tracks,NEVER DID BEFORE.The large packs have moved this year because no game.Ive been in wolf tracks last 6 times out, counting today
