Good post. I'm for the 300 WM.
But if he hasn't made up his mind by now, I'm thinking he never will.

I've had really good success on elk with both my 7mm Rem Mag and 300 Wby mag. But the 300 definitely anchored a bull better than my 7mm at apx the same distance and bullet placement. The 300 absolutely wrecked both shoulders and passed through. The 7mm did much less damage and the bullet deflected and ended up back in the rib cage.

Odd but I've certainly seen some bullets, very high quality bullets at that, take some craze turns even at right angles with high velocity impacts at short range.

Well we've got an occasional poster here, that at times I have seriously thought to be a bot just generating conversation that's been trying to decide on cartridge to do a build for six or seven years now.... Ya never know!
