Unfortunately about 28 years ago a county commissioner made almost the entire county a bird sanctuary. Of the remaining slivers of land (< 2%) we need to have written permission to hunt there and no farmer wants people on their land shooting and for many years it wasn't enforced, but the past 3 years they are. So, I'll have to travel 2 hours to a public dove field for maybe 7 birds on a good day.
