Saving my pennies. Going to order one from Shawn here within the next couple of months. Once the bank roll is together I will get it going. I cannot wait to get it ordered.

Hell no!

Because I would rather build one:)

If I build it, it will shoot................(repeat)

happy holidays, y'all:)

This rifle project started last year in September 08...
I bought a Remington M700 .338 RUM stainless for the action.

Action: Remington M700 stainless (trued)
Caliber: .338 Remington Ultra Magnum
Barrel; Hart barrel-Sendero contour (breach-1.250 muzzle-0.80) unfluted 26"
Muzzle Brake: Vias
optics: Schmidt & Bender 4-16X50mm Classic, reticle-A7 non-illuminated
with Schmidt & Bender bullet elevation compensator knob.
also looking at Meopta 3-12X50mm illuminated Dot!
Scope to be determined later...
Mounts?

This was going to be an upgraded sendero, with fiberglass stock.
The barreled action is completed and sitting on my bench,
the stainless action and barrel were bead blasted to a dull matt.
Today, I completed the work sheet for Accurated Inovations wood M-40 stock, with an upgrade in wood to AA fancy Claro Walnut.
I sorta want/thinking Bastonge Walnut...
Going to let this sit for a week before mailing.
Thinking about using Duracoat (Parker) for coating on action and barrrel,
might do a black color for bolt (origional M-40 )contrast....
never used the stuff, opinions are welcome?

I've gotta finish the 338 Gibbs I started a few years ago. Should've been done a long time ago, but a guy gets going on other things.

I am going to customize a factory rifle, not really a custom job though.

Browning X-Bolt Hunter in 7MM Wsm:

1. Get the action trued.
2. Lap Locking lugs.
3. Recrown the Bbl.
4. Install a Larger Bolt Handle.
5. Get it Pillar and Glass Bedded.
6. May install crossbolts in stock, as it is a little thin in some places.
7. Lap Barrel to help reduce the dreaded Browning Copper fouling.
8. Top it off with either a Nikon Monarch Gold 30 MM 2.5 x 10 x 50 or more likely a Leupold 30 MM VX3 4.5 x 14 x 50 with Kenton elevation Turret.
9. Install Browning military Latigo Sling.

Bought the rifle last week and sending it off friday.

Regards,

Dee

Yep. I just got one from Jim at Center Shot and I love it. I am going to have him build up a coyote gun for me and I am going to spring an XP100 project on him here soon too.

I just picked up an Arentine Mauser rechambered to 243, on a beautiful walnut stock, all blued steel, leupold scope, and Im afraid I might just end up camo painting it.

unfortunately its too shiny to be out yote hunting
