Do you name your rifles?

My rifles have their own names stamped into them,,, no need to rename what's there. Ha

But me on the other hand,,, I'm the one that gets the nick name,,, """Yo Hanns Miss""".

That's what it's all about for me now days,,, take a well dialed in rifle,,, ammo,,, and optics and try to drop the bomb on the X,,, medium size cartridges that can't push the booltiz forward,,, so the trick for me is to luanch them high into the sky and hope that they land on the paper or gong at a 68 degree angle... LOL...

Nothing like blowing out the legs that supports the irons down range,,, at least I know I have contact when the whole thing tips over... Ha

Anyone else notice almost to a man the guys that don't name their rifles have snappy nickname call signs? ...talk to me goose! My gosh just kidding, Also, (seriously as needed) .25-06 anti-lope is solid and dinger for the creed should be patented lol!

My daughter and I were talking about one of my rifles this weekend, and she was confusing it with another one I own. I realized that I was always referring to them by one of the following
1. Manufacturer
2. Caliber
3. Cartridge

I thought I need to give them some real names.

How many of you give pet names to your rifles? Let's hear about "old Bertha" or whatever pet names you have!
Yep.. named them all Dr. Death (30-378Wby) and Thor (338 RUM) my 2 favorites

I don't name most of my firearms but some just get names through use or someone else I do name every car I own though and people who don't name their cars are weird.
  • "Calvin": A custom Ruger 10/22 and my nephew said it just felt like a Calvin
  • "Blackjack": An AR15 in 300 Blackout on a Sharps Bro "The Jack" receiver
  • "The Javelin": A Rem 700 in 280A.I. with a 1:8 twist. Had a buddy once state the 168gr. Barnes I load it with are "as long as spears".
  • "Little Bastard" A Smith & Wesson J-Frame ultralite (model 340) in 357mag. It weighs 12oz. unloaded, the rest is pretty self explanatory
that was a cool reply

I've got a Remington 700 BDL .270 Win. that I put in a Brown Precision stock about thirty years or so ago that I call "Meat On The Table"! She just doesn't miss. Another one that I really like is a Howa 1500 in .338 Win. Mag. that really lives up to it's name of "Thumper"! (And that's not named after the little bunny in the Bambi movie either!)
