I was stuck in the creek about 30 years ago, I keep 100 yards of 5/16 cable and a come a long in the truck now

I normally am a little more prepared. The property we were on has several creek crossings that are maintained by the landowner. This year with all the heavy rains he wasn't able to keep up on them and I just wasn't thinking in would have any issues. Usually I have a come along when elk hunting. Learning experience I suppose
