custom .308 Build

I have decided to add a new rifle to the arsenal. I want to build a .308 but I have a budget off about $1000 for the rifle, what would you guys suggest to buy? Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

A Stevens 200 in .308W, Rifle Basix trigger and Leupold Vari II scope. That will pull up your $1K.

Howa 308. 400$ Manners stock about 500 and have the trigger tuned when you get the stock work done.

That is probably the best option out there. Savage rifles out of the box are likely the most accurate on the market.
