Performance wise, based on my one example, & comparing Lance's 22" tube, the 22x47 will add easily another 150 FPS+ over the GT with 80's.

That is what I use; 58 grain bullets at 4000 fps!

Definitely thought about it. I think if I go with another 6mm that close to my gt I will probably just spin up a short barreled gt since I already have everything for it.

I don't blame you, heck thats why I use a .243. My dad already loads for it. There's also something to be said with using the same cartridge. Your holds are pretty close rifle to rifle. Keep things simple.

My 22" 22GT is pushing 77TMKs @ 3200 and has wrecked coyotes out past 750.
Alpha SRP brass available
Super easy to find a load. I tried 3 charge weights each with the 77TMK and 85.5 Hyb. Loaded some up, and shot #19 out of the barrel was a coyote at 750. Haven't touched the load since.

Beautiful hunting land! The only open areas that we have here in the SE are on Gas & Power Lines. I have had a few 1K shots on Yotes and then set up 1 Mile for Steel with our .260 Rems. When I hunted in SD for PDs I always wanted to come back for Yotes, Badgers. The open areas and Draws where some streams run always PULLED me to hunt there. We have all the equipment--just don't have the access to the GREAT Hunting areas in SD, ND, NM, TX.

Yes sir. The main thing with my gt is if a run the 80 gr Eldvts is that I have little to no holdover. I didn't want to change my 105 zero when I made those rounds. We had a coyote tournament between our deer rifle season and holiday antlerless season. The 80s shot .3 mills high at 200, .2 low at 300, and 450 was .7 mils

For those ranges a .243 with an 87 vmax would be pretty easy. Mine won't push them to 3300 fps but 3200 is pretty easy to do. Makes them quite dead at the ranges you are asking about. Lots of brass too.

Oh yeah I agree it's a great round and easy to get stuff for. It's just so close to my gt and I already have brass and a reamer so it's just as easy to spin a short gt up.

Why don't you do just that!? Nothing says you can't have more than one! I have 4 **** 260s and 2 6CMs. Everything has a purpose and if you like the GT, just build one dedicated for varmints. Highly recommend building on a tikka CTR action.

I have thought about it a lot. Almost pulled the trigger on it a couple times haha. I just like to see what everyone else has and likes. I really enjoy messing with new calibers in my reloading room. That's probably the only reason I didn't do another 6gt. I'm working on my old 722 257 Robert's now
