Chassis rifles are hard to get use to.! I now have 2. An XLR Element and the MDT Oryx. The XLR is by far a better chassis. I just ordered the MDT Field stock for a Tikka budget 25 Creedmoor build
The only thing I dislike about that rifle is the magazine. If I go with a standard SA rifle and chassis I can run a cartridge length of 2.55" vs. 2.25" or shorter. Then there is the fact that I have to drive a lot just to pick up a firearm. Since I'm required to fill out the paperwork and cool off, and I have a 140 mile round trip twice to visit the more reliable FFL.
MDT HNT26....has all your bells and whistles...comes in at 26 Oz's and foldable stock.
I looked at that one, and it's more money than I want to spend. I don't need a folder, I'm not going to backpack in with a .223 Rem on any hunts. I could go with another Greyboe Trekker as I figure it's close to a chassis, I have one on my .308 Win.

MDT has just come out with a new carbon fiber stock that may be worth considering. I think it was priced at $999.99
I'm with the folks who've encouraged you to try a chassis before buying one. I've had couple over the years, but never learned to love them. They're great for their adjustability, but thats about where it stops for me.
You said you wanted to try a CHASSIS....if not then take a look at the MDT FIELD STOCK.... terrific price, terrific fit.
I looked at the Field Stock but 3.1lbs is a big turn-off. The Trekker and other Greyboe options aren't a whole lot more than the Field. I still want to try a chassis, I just knew there were more options to look at than what I had found.
I think I could make that one work, I'm not sure about the Key Mod forearm. Seems like everything is going Mlok.
The Ultradyne UD3 and 5 look promising as well.
