I appreciate the info on the want add! I would like to keep the large shank barrel I have, just like the idea of having metal around the chamber! I currently have a long action for a small shank, that is in the picture. My gunsmith will open it up to large shank specs for me, but why bother if someone wants to trade? Then, of course the action would be blueprinted and I would still have my .338 Lapua built for under $1000! CDI bottom metal is who Savage went through for their new lineup of 10/110 BA and their 10FCP-SR models. They are kicking out some really nice guns with good features.
