There is a web site called cciprimes.com I assume that's what the OP is asking about.
1) Visit the site and look for oddities, poor web design, and poor use of the engrish language.
https://cciprimes.com/
Visiting the site, you can spot several spelling errors, which is a sign that either the person who made the web page didn't do too well in school, or they aren't from the USA. There's also an error of some type up at the top that reads [ivory-search id "835"] Then there's the Odd Habit of Capitalizing any word they want to place Emphasis on. Either this web site was done by rednecks, or it was done by amatures. That's warning #1
2) Check ratings on other reputable sites.
https://ammoseek.com/ratings/ Pop over to Ammoseek and check the retailer ratings for cciprimes and, shocker, they aren't even listed. That's warning #2
3) Check and see if the web site is trusted or a known scam.
https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/cciprimes.com Checking scamadviser for cciprimes and they give a the site a trust rating of 1 out of a possible 100 points. That's warning #3
4) Check the inventory for unlikely supplies. Check for Un-ubtanium class products.
Do they have Federal 215M Match Large Rifle Magnum primers in stock? Yes, they do. Not only do they have them, but they have 95 cases of 5000 primes available. Oddly, they have exactly 95 boxes of 1000 primers. Weird that the quantities are the same, no?
Wow, my lucky day! They have Retumbo!!!! That's so weird, since Hodgdon already stated that it's unlikely they will be able to get Retumbo shipped out this year, but cciprimes let me put ONE HUNDRED POUNDS of single pound canisters in my shopping cart.
Let's be real for a minute. Places like Natchez, Midsouth, Powder Valley, Sportsmans, Cabelas / Bass Pro, they are HUGE sellers that have been around for a long time. I think it's safe to assume they have buyers who are on first name basis with suppliers. I also think it's reasonable to expect that when Federal has product to ship, that the big vendors are going to get first dibs on the product. That's just how the world works. When some "Never heard of them" company suddenly claims they have stuff when the shelves are empty everywhere else, I see that as warning #4.
5) Do they take credit cards?
No, cciprimes.com does not accept credit cards as payment.
Places that are scams will always have some "reason" why the credit card didn't work, why there was "a mix up" with their bank, or they just don't even try to pretend and only accept cash transfers. When you buy with a credit card, it means the seller went through the credit verification process with Master Card and Visa. When they only accept Zelle, CashAp, Venmo, and Paypall, that means they want to make sure you have no way to get your money back when the stuff doesn't arrive. Warning #5
