Carnivore diet ...

I kid.

Depends what you're trying to do. I don't do any of the sugars or fruit, but I do what I call "ketoviore."
Where the fibrous carbs out nets the starch carbs.

Sometimes if I see a little softness in my muscles then I switch back to full carnivore to kill off that extra few % body fat to keep the status quo. Been doing it that way for a long time. Just make sure you adjust saturated fat intake to your activity level. Once you're around or below 12% it's become really hard to maintain and the stricter you have to be, especially after 40.
I know you are.

Interestingly, I eat less now, and without crashing. I am simply trying to reduce/alleviate my carb/sugar and ultraprocessed food intake. I am well past 40. LOL!

where would be a good source for the carnivore diet information. I'm thinking about trying it to loose weight, get sugar in check and just get healthier. So many sites, just wondering what reference Fenix and the rest of you have used. Thanks in advance.

I am not following any carnivore diet. My parents were in the meat market business for over 4 decades, I grew up eating meat. Yes, there are a few out there. Good luck!

I've been doing versions of this before it had a name all the way back starting around jr high wrestling, even though back then I didn't know exactly what I was doing or why it worked.

Later as a young marine, most information was found in fitness magazines and body building forums. It was just a high protein diet and eating clean.

Now, it has a name, and a community following that doesn't spread misinformation about it being "unhealthy."

Good source would be Dr. Ken Berry and his wife, Dr Shawn Baker, Andrew Huberman also has some different takes on it, Dr. Rhonda Patrick also.

Dr. Mike Israetel who's a bodybuilder has some pros and cons (generalities) related to that space and the muscle growth process. There's a lot of information out there nowadays.
