Can anyone please decipher this for me 700 remington

I've never shot it but my friend says he has a few times over the last 20 years and claims it shoots extremely acurate i cant wait to get out with it tomorrow so we can put it on some paper so i know myself because he's not the best shooter and im no sniper but i do have much better consistency than he does. Just saying im excited to shoot the old rifle and see what i can do with it. Once again your input is greatly appreciated skipglo

Letters embossed in on the barrel show "PB" that indicates a build date of June 1981.

Keep in mind 1-1.5" groups were considered GOLDEN as little as just 15 years ago! But the I loved the older rems. Enjoy
