Building a 6.5 PRC, annnnndddd there’s no bullets.

There's 6.5 PRC at my local academy, gun shop, and bass pro. I think it's the 147 grain precision hunters. I can look around at my next outing and pick you up some. I'll hook up a fellow 12B. SLTW

The ammo that's out are the neckbeard, moms basement, would have joined delta but I have gout go to ammo of .308 win excuse me I mean 7.62x51, 5.56, 7.62x39, .300Blackout (300whisper for you edgy, hipster types), and the tried and true 9mm.
That would be friggin awesome!

The supplies come in but go out fast. It's somewhat luck of the draw if you get any ammo related supplies these days. This time it is solely the public that's sucking it all up, unlike previous when the DHS and other entities were making major purchases. Supplies will be readily available on shelves again when the public is all stocked up. We've seen this movie before. I have to say, this run on ammo of every kind seems truly ridiculous.
All you have to do is look at the record breaking months after months of gun sales since March and it makes sense. As you said, we've seen this movie before and I believe we're going to start seeing it more and more.

I might need them. We shall see. It's the brass for 6.5 PRC that has the issue right now
I can sell you 50 ADG you'd like. I have 200 of them.

I found rifle primers for a good price on gunbroker.com the guy was too stupid to ship them to me cause he didn't know how, even though I told him to go to UPS get a ormd sticker and they ship it out just like ammo.
On behalf of the entire shipping industry, PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! Rifle primers are a HAZMAT item and need to be properly marked and transported that way. Small arms primers are classified as a 1.4s explosive. Shipping them in an improperly marked package is both illegal and potentially dangerous. Primers are not classified as an ORMD!

I was going to say the same thing, glad you beat me to it. One day there is going to be an accident due to shipping something like this and the shipper will regret taking the easy way out.

They are at my ups store she said there's primers in the live ammo I ship, so she doesn't see any difference. If u ask fed ex the same question that's what they tell you. She also puts a handle with care sticker as well on them. that is why they get my shipping screw fed ex

Bullet Man, if you're licensed to manufacture ammunition, you should know all these regulations. Failure to follow them can result in loss of your license along with civil penalties.

You do you, just be careful who else you involve.

No, I don't do this commercially just for friends and family, thanks for your concern though I hear so many stories you don't know who to believe

Where and from whom do these rules come from and how do u get a copy of them? Is it a federal law DOT law where can you access these shipping laws I would like to read them for myself. thanks

If you don't know who to believe, get the opinions of the folks who'll arrest you if you're wrong.

These regulations are all from the Federal DOT and BATFE. I'd suggest you reach out to the shipping companies for written copies of their policies as well. Just because somebody at the local level is ignorant of the regulations doesn't mean you're not going to be held accountable for violating them. If you're manufacturing and shipping ammunition, it's in your best interest to get all the information before you end up with some significant fines and penalties.

Op,
If I were you I would take this offer up and buy a box. It should last you some time.
Go to the hodgdon burn rate chart and find a powder within the prc case range that is less popular, they exist and can be found

For example something like norma mrp. There are quite a few.

you need to be flexible on bullets right now, there are plenty of great 6.5mm bullets out there.

for primers, I watch them pretty hard and they do come in stock but go out fast. If I see any in stock I'll try to post them here
