6.5 PRC Origin Build

I built a very similar rifle for my son. Origin short action, Grayboe Terrain stock, Grayboe bottom metal, Carbon Six Barrel. I used an AI magazine to fit the 6.5 PRC. I also put a Sig Sauer BDX scope on it.
I really like the origin action, but not for this cartridge. The build is rather heavy; it's the heaviest hunting rifle in my safe, and I've never been bothered by 9 or 10 Lb rifles. I blame part of the weight on bottom metal and magazine. (And scope).
If I were to do it over, I would either buy an action cut for the Wyatt's magazine, or go for a longer action. I also don't like the way it ejects. I think the ejection port is slightly small for the fat PRC cartridge.

OK Cliff, I earned that. ;o)

Howsomever I think a 3 lug GA Precision action on my HS Precision .300 Win mag (currently W/ a Rem. 700 action) would be nice. The replaceable lug bearing front end of the action is a nice touch.

So if I got an LPA razor ti I can fit a Wyatt's Mbe-4 and a COAL of 2.995. Will this give me enough room to load the longer bullets out far enough? Like the 156 eol

i am looking at building a 6.5 PRC off the origin action. I will be using this for western mule deer, antelope and maybe elk. Here is my list. What do you think.

Bighorn Origin short action-$825
Proof Sendero light-prefit straightjacket-$1000
Mesa altitude stock-$600
Triggertech special-$200
Remington BDL bottom Metal-$150
Muzzle break?-$150
Total-$2925
Did you ever do this build?? This is literally exactly what I have been looking at doing!

I ended up buying a New Christensen Ridgeline with Mesa Altitude stock installed and bedded by Mesa and a wyatts mbe-04 installed off the classifieds. I love it.
My dad has a 6.5 creedmoor ridgeline, and I love it... except for the stock. If you don't mind me asking what did Mesa charge for the install and bed job? You don't happen to have any pictures do you? I see that Proof sells almost the exact same rifle as you were looking at building originally for $3000. Really would like to see how well fierce's new rival rifle turns out!

I am not sure what was paid for the work. I bought it new never fired for $2,700 with 100 adg brass,100 156 Berger eol, and two boxes of hornady 147 eld-m. I can weigh it later with the vx5 hd and seekins rings. I believe it was 6 lb with the rail and titanium muzzle brake.
