BROKE MY SHOULDER

I know how all these means when the unexpected pops up. A couple of months ago I under went a back surgery anticipating little complications. Well, that didn't happen. I am almost having to learn to walk again because of the severe limp, neuropathy and a condition called Footdrop. It sure has messed up my hunting season meaning all my trips this year have been cancelled, however giving me something to work on for next year. Hang in there brother.
Sorry to hear that!

Wont be shooting ANYTHING real soon. Fell and broke my shoulder last night. i dont think the 50 BMG would help my recovery
This is what I ended up with after a fall on the ice took awhile it's been about a year and a half getting better slowly

Sorry to hear your misfortune.
Back in '91 I had knee surgery and a fasciotomy on my shin muscle, which resulted in an ankle to hip cast. Anyway, a trip to the toilet unassisted resulted in breaking my arm and nose when I fell traversing our laundry step. My arm broke because it was inside the crutch when I landed on it and my face hit the toilet. That was 12 weeks I would like to forget.

Cheers.

Lucky for you there was nobody with a phone to record that episode. You would be on facebook forever.

Sad to hear that. From your photo, you appear to at least be my age or greater. I'm 72 and slipped in the shower and busted a rib and bruised my side very bad a few months ago. Haven't been out to shoot now for over a year due to the reloading shortages and the accident. Yeh, I don't think the 50 BMG would be a very good idea for a while. Take care and wish you the best of luck on your recovery.

I am 85 and by biggest worry is the Codine, if i take enough to kill the pain then i cant drive and vice versa. And i dont want to just take it by the clock then i wont know when i dont need it anymore, then i am addicted. but the pain is terrible. but, i would rather tough it out than get addicted.

I broke my shoulder in high school. It still gives me grief everyday. I wish you a fast recovery, and urge you to take the physical therapy much more seriously than I did.
I hit a coyote while riding my bicycle last Oct; broke seven ribs, smashed my clavicle, and broke my scapula in two places; have a lot of implanted metal right now. One of my college roommates is now an orthopedic surgeon and his number one recommendation was to take PT seriously. I did, but my shoulder/left arm strength is nowhere near what it was a year ago.

Good luck.
