Or a big a coyote. I saw one in my yard yesterday that made me think for a split second it was a wolf.

I agree the curled tail is a red flag!

I'm thinking after being shot its tail ended up like that because it sure wasn't like that stalking the deer out in the field beforehand, or drinking out of the puddle of water in my driveway.

And in case some of you haven't seen the articles....
Canada is now killing off wolves....the entire pack...if they can catch them all...and killing them from helicopters....any guess why...
WELL YES....YOU ARE ALL SO SMART...
Seems that the wolves in Alberta and BC have killed so many mountain caribou that as of the story one herd had one bou remaining.....and that is after the wolves got into an enclosure and killed the other five of the herd.....
Finally....a government that has watched as herds of animals are decimated in our time.....to extinction.....

Neither, it was a 3 1/2 year old female Wolf/Coyote hybrid shot out the window of my house in 2015.

Why can't the wolf population be controlled to be as big as the herds can take. And why did they wait till the herds were decimated.

BTW you'll notice that it's right rear leg is missing all its Toes, it chewed them off and/or the leg hold trap helped to free it. One reason why I'm not a huge fan of trapping only because you never know what you might catch.

How was it determined a hybrid? All the wolf guys I know say wolves immediately kill any other canine in their territory. Probly a domestic pet. mtmuley
