I went to a place called Swamp Nasty Outfitters in TX. They hunt ducks during the migratory game season and hogs whenever. They put you up in a lodge or a house. Meals are included. Every evening before dark they pick you up with a pickup truck towing a big 4x4. They have MANY large tracks of land to hunt and even hunt over the line in Oklahoma. All the AR-10s, ammo and thermals are provided.

We blasted hogs for 3 days straight. I have to admit that we probably missed 8 out of ten hogs because we were laughing too hard to shoot straight and (honestly) we sucked at that type of fast paced, night blasting with AR-10s. LOL

There were plenty of hogs and no limit. Hogs were left to lay because no one wanted them.

When I hunted hogs in Georgia, we shot a lot of really BIG smelly boars. We left them lay in the ag fields which seemed odd to me. I asked the guide about that practice. He told me that they wouldn't be anything left in a couple of days. Apparently, they had a serious number of coyote in the area and the hogs would be down to bones in no time. Some of those hogs were 300lbs.

This hog was dropped with a single shoulder shot from a 6.5 Creed. He wasn't hardly dead when I got to him. Three 9mm bullets, at point blank range to his head, didn't seem to make much difference.

Has anyone here ever been able to hunt on Ossabaw Island, SC? I've heard they have Eurasian hogs that have pretty much been kept pure as those are the only pigs on the island? Do they let folks hunt them? Seems hard to find out too much info, their webpage is more suited to non-hunting.

We are not as bad as Texas in California, but it's getting worse. Forbid the hogs are tearing up some of the lawns at night around the Bay Area. This is our first year to have an unlimited tag for $27/resident $97/non-resident. License wise it's better to be resident of course. We also have great prices on bear tags for residents ($60~).

Here's the kicker for non-residents though...you can get a one day pass for $30 or a 2 day pass for about $60, and that allows you to hunt most of the game in California. Pig can be had out of rifle hunting season, but deer and bear are limited to the season during July-Dec. You can't use rifles during archery season either. *IF* you can hold your nose while driving through the woke/liberal cities, like L.A. or S.F., there's some beautiful country here. This is a tricky place to maneuver around some of the woke mentality in regard to firearms. Bruen is helping slam the door. đź—˝
