I had a leica 1600 and couldn't consistently get a reading on antelope at 700 yards. The leupold 1600 has been flawless so far
I need everyone's help here. Looking for real world experience hunting. I want to find a rangefinder that actually works on game out to 1000 yards. I had a Vortex ranger 1000 and a Sig 2000, both fell short and could not get ranges past 500 yards consistently... Saw the new Vortex Razor 4000 and wonder if it actually works? Also been considering the Leica CRF 2400-R Rangemaster. Any help is appreciated.
I'm not sure why your Sig Kilo 2000 didnt work. I've got one, and I've ranged deer with it at 1200 yrds., multiple times. There are better units available, but for the budget you mentioned, it's the best one IMO.I need everyone's help here. Looking for real world experience hunting. Sold it... I live in eastern Colorado and we have a large cattle ranch. It wouldn't pick up cows past 500. Hard to kill coyotes when you cant get a range...I'm really surprised your Sig was giving you problems. Send it back under warranty, like I did. They'll send you a new one. They did me.
Oh I've had it range rocks and trees to 2000... But for hunting it wasn't reliable enough, had to pass on a large bull last year because the *** wouldn't work. And I would have guess the bull was only 600 ish yards away, but without a range I wasn't going to guessI'm not sure why your Sig Kilo 2000 didnt work.
