Hammer Hunters?

Hunt b and c zone. Haven't been drawn for x5a but know the area some.
I've hunted B1 and B2 blacktail. Drawn for antelope in .... cr@p... not Happy valley. Can't remember. Near Oregon/Nevada border. I'll remember tomorrow. Deer. I lived in D14 and D16 most my life. Down south. Most X zones hunted Sierras in X12, X9A, X9B and X10 in that order. X12 my favorite
Hunted as non res in 2021.

I hunted with a Remington bronze point bullet in the 70,s, it worked very well. I was accused of using a FMJ at the time by a game warden. Took some time to get him to understand that it wasn't.

I can't remember the last time a Warden checked my ammo, even here in CA they don't seem to care. I was stopped two years ago and he didn't even check my license, BS'd for about 30 minutes and I was like "hey I wanna get up to a spot before it gets dark" and he was like "oh sorry go for it, you didn't run from me so I'm sure you're legal, good luck" 😂

Hunt an X zone . They'll check your crevices. Lol.

I have an idea….shoot what you want!! You want to shoot Berger, shoot em, you wanna shoot Nosler, shoot em, you wanna shoot Hammer, guess what….shoot em! I love this forum, I get such a kick out of reading the arguing on these threads. In the end, I'd have a beer with anyone of you, even the ones that shoot Bergers 😁. (Just poking)

I've been treated well by wardens in X12 and X9A. Spent many a night at Convict Lake. Owner Brian a friend.

I will be happy to take them off your hands and dispose of them for you , I'll pay the freight and ship your brass back to you if you wish. Out of all the game I have killed with 3 different types and 6 different weights of hammers I shoot, I have never retrieved one bullet and always had very long stream of blood, lungs or heart tissue on the exit side of the critters. I will be happy to report my unbiased results.

If we didn't argue and fuss over every little detail about this rifle, this bullet, well, this forum would suck it big time.

You're are correct, a custom mixed load of RL26 @75% and 25% of H4350+P with 143 eldx with shaved tip.
Best combo I've have found. In fact Weatherb and I have a huge contract in underwriting as we speak.

That's the real name of lake 😁 There's a story about 2 escaped convicts (1800's) and there was a shoot out with Sheriff and posse . Sheriff was killed. They captured or killed the convicts. One of the mountain peaks above lake has Sheriff's last name. I can't remember it but think it starts with an M. Moran ? It's in the Sierra's. Not far up from Bishop. I used to stay at cabins there and fish and go down to Bishop for Mule Days.
