looking for ACTUAL experience and opinions with the Berger Elite Hunters. I am looking at giving the 180 grain in 30 cal a try. Thanks in advance.

Have used 180 grain elite hunters in my 300 rum on pigs and red deer many times not one has gone further than a few steps massive wound channel but no exit on the larger boars

6CM 105 Hybrid
6.5SLR 140 HVLD
6.5SS 140 Hybrid
6.5SS (new one) will shoot the 140 Hybrid or the 156 Elite if it ever comes out
.280AI 175 Elite Hunter
7RM 180 Hybrid
.300RUM 215 & 230 Hybrid

All have worked phenomenally on game from jackrabbits to big bull elk. From 16 to 1365 yards.

Would you share your 280AI 175gr load and velocity? Was planning on running 168s but this bullet is interesting me?

Shot antelope at 250. Bullet hit bone and left massive meat damage. Spraying down quarter meat looked and came off like hamburger. Remaining meat looked "shredded".
Not sure if it was the bullet alone or the hitting of bone, but will be looking for a different bullet for next hunt with the 6.5x284.

Shot nice bull elk with 300 Hybrid out of a 300 Lapua Improved at 409yards! Double lung shot with only fragments of bullet penatrating the chest cavity left lung had extensive damage right lung and heart undamaged! Lots of blood in chest but required a second shot in right shoulder to put him down by breaking shoulder low. Both entrance wounds were softball size with no exit! Built this rifle to be an Elk Hammer".... Shoots sub .25 MOA to 1000 yards! Plan on shooting a Cow elk in Dec with the elite Hunter 300gr

I shoot the 250 eh out of my 338 and they shoot great.. I haven't had any issues with closer range shots. I took 3 deer under 100yds elk at 200 they seem to expand and drop game in their tracks. Longer range they are awesome.

I will add the 135gr 6.5 classic Hunter is a great bullet in a 6.5PRC on deer size game but I've now replaced it with the 156gr 6.5 in both the 6.5PRC and 26 Nosler so far we have found it to be as amazing as the 195 is on the 28 Nosler! I'm so excited with the 156 that we are going to try it in my buddies 6.5-300mag! We have 4 late season private land cow elk tags to fill in Dec &Jan so we plan on taking 3 with the 156 and I'll take mine with the 338AI with 300 Classic Hunter, everybody is excited about the plan!
