Glad you got it off.
Certain epoxies can be softened quite nicely when in contact with Methanol alcohol and sometimes gasoline.
Learned this the hard way when running methanol in two stroke Banshees with epoxied ports.
I'll bet! I once busted the cyl. sleeve on a snowmobile dragster the day before a drag race (the cylinder was bored so far over that the O ring pressure from the head busted a chunk out of the inside) I used JB weld to glue everything back together by permanently bonding the o Ring into the groove and then bolting the head on before it cured. I put a heat lamp on it over night and not only won the open class the followng day but ran it for another two months before it came unglued!....rich
