To my knowledge, we've only had one, a Black in the neighborhood in the past 20 years! I no not why…..Winchester is such a desirable place for bears! Of course, they could be hanging around….. just rarely announce their presence! memtb

I keep thinking with all of my Crab Apple, apple, and pear trees ….I might bait some in!

All I'm getting with Apple, crabapple and plums are deer and hordes of raccoons…suckers ring the doorbell and want a drink of water to wash 'em down…

The coons aren't giving me problems with any of the apples…..but, they're hell on our pears.

Over the past several years, I've trapped about a half dozen……none this year. Maybe the word is out about my trapping prowess!

My trees are fenced, the deer may be getting some "low hanging fruit"! I had to use a ladder to harvest the Crab Apples.

No room ! I still have elk from 2022 and 2023 . Muleys from 2022 and 2023. A whitetail buck and doe from 2022 and a doe lope from 2023 and 2024 in freezers! No room for lawn rats I give away a lot of meat to make room evey year.
