I fire form my cases using 40gr of RL 22 seating the 105 .001 off the lands. With this load im getting groups that average .3
As far as the throat is conserned the Smith said ever thing looks great with His RL 22
I could measure the Neck length but all my Ackley cases fit the chamber ok.................
I will be heading in the opposite direction going to H4831 this Friday.............
and will be using Winchester Cases..........................
I will measure the case oal...................
But I have a feeling that going to Winchester cases is not going to make any differance ........
my last .243 Ackley did not have any powder issues at all and I ran a lot of Hot loads through the Lapua brass and NEVER had any pocket issues............all pockets were tight from hot load to hot load using RL22, H4831, H4350, RL19, H100V, H1000
Thing is that when I work up the Ackley cases the accuracy is always terrible......................from 1" to .7 but all with High Pressure..................
