Badlands Precision Bullets thread - From BC to terminal ballistics

This has been a very good thread and has received great contributions from some of our very knowledgeable members. I just received a couple of boxes of 150 gr .284 BD2's for a 280AI 8 twist 24". I was hoping to get 3000 fps with some of my available powders. I'm not going to fret over +/- 50fps, but need to start my first loads to see results. As I mentioned in another thread I was thinking about trying RL23 with either BR2's or Fed215M in Peterson brass. Other powder options include H4831sc, H4350, H1000, as well as many IMR powders. Thoughts here would be appreciated.

RL23 will be your friend here I'm sure.

H4350 should work well but I really think 6.5 StaBall will be your friend here with that 100 SBD2. Try to get some quality SRP brass. Good luck and let us know how it works for you!

I shoot the 115 Berger from Lapua SRP BRASS. H4350. Next I'll try the BD2 100 but I got 300 of the 115's to go through. 5 Shot group below from a 20" Krieger barrel going 3045 FPS.

When you have a chance put a 100 BD2 alongside one of your 115 Bergers and post a picture please. I'd like to see them SxS. I plan on ordering the BD soon and testing.
Here we go
Boxes then packing then sxs

I was a little surprised when doing a little measuring of the .284 150 BD2 this evening. I am not sure of the ogive, but they take up a great deal of powder space in my 280ai. HH allow me to seat them significantly longer (.040). I'm stuck with a SAAMI throat and not sure if the 150 BD2 is going to work out for me.
