Anyone use the teslong

I've got a rigid Teslong that I plug into a 17" screen laptop. I absolutely hate that thing. Every time that I insert it into the bore, after a thorough cleaning, I see more carbon streaks then I can deal with. I soak them bores in BoreTech C4 but the carbon is extremely stubborn and doesn't come out. JB compound doesn't seem to get it out either. I can reduce the carbon but I just can't get it all out.

None of these issues ever happened before Teslong. I hate that thing!

Hahaha.
Try some Iosso, paison. But have plenty patches!

I use the depstech vs. the teslong but that was the best option when I purchased.

I had some issues with my first depstech, out of warranty period, and they offered to send me a newer product at a significantly reduced price.

I took them up on that offer and was much happier with the color quality with the new model vs. my original purchase.

So my point is - there is likely more than one Teslong as well and it may very well be that some will make you happier than others.

Attached picture is a screen capture of one of my videos.

Nice finish! Did you lap it yourself?
Not with Tubbs!Using lapping compound on Bronze bore brush wrapped around a very well used 30 cal bore brush.
VinceMule told me about this procedure and it works wonders.
I don't use lapping compound every time but when a barrels squeeky clean it is MUCH easier to clean.
edit to add:I meant Bronze steel wool wrapped around a worn 30 cal bore brush, using J B Bore Bright or Iosso sometimes alternating both.

This must be referring to the statement that got Brux barrels to say it can ruin barrels.

I ruined a barrel that is not a great barrel to begin with.Still will shoot 1 inch groups but used to shoot almost 1/2 that before Tubbs final finish.
Thats ok as if I ever get to feeling like my old self I will check around to have it re-barreled.

It's not as if we are using these to take raw images of sunsets or people. It's for looking at barrel bores. If it cannshow a defect or dirt vs clean or pitting etc I could care less beyond that.

But if you are the OCD type or stress over a less than perfect bore cleanliness etc.. you should never look thru a bore scope at any of your barrels.

Yeah Bartlein will not even think about warranty on a barrel that's had an "abrasive" in it. Sometimes that what you have to use.

I use the flexible one and app on my phone. Extremely easy to use.

How many rounds fired on that rifle? You have fire cracking going on,and does it still shoot well. I've got a older 25-06 that looks like that and its still a shooter. Just wondering how much longer?
That rifle is a 6.8 Western with approximately 500 rounds through it. It shoots better than any other rifle I own. I'd say it'll need a new barrel in about 400-700 more rounds, depending on how I treat it.
