Anyone try Reloader 17 yet?

RL-17 is STILL an interesting powder, let the thread continue.

Since my last posting in 2009 I have used RL-17 in more cartridges:

A 22" 338 RCM sporter. 61 gr of RL-17 with 225 gr Accubond for 2750 fps
Has taken three cow elk.

A 30" LA, long throated 338 RCM with 300 gr berger OTM 55 gr for 2525 fps Very low ES values

a friend's 22" 300 WSM with 230 gr bergers to fit a mag box of 2.8" 61 gr for velocity of 2735
I witnessed it slam a cow elk at 300 yds

6mm-284 with 24" sporter 95 gr Berger classic hunter 54 gr of RL-17 3433 at 45 degrees F

Well, you peaked my interest with the 6-284. Did you by any chance try 105 gr. bullets in it?

I use RL17 in my 338-06 with amazing results. 2800fps with the 225 AB, 25" inch barrel in my Stevens m200. 61.7 gr does the trick, very close to max for my rifle. Extremely low ES. 2" groups at 300yds.
