Anyone ever see a barrel like this?

Glad it worked for you. Looks good. How many passes with the 40 grit and what grit emory cloth
I didn't really count passes. I was preoccupied with trying not to chew up the carbon fiber. I had it taped but was eating the tape up by the edge. Emery cloth says P180. Took a pic.

Can you post a couple more pictures, from what I can see it looks awesome

Thanks. I like how it turned out. Lathe was set at 335 RPM.

I've seen countless off-the-shelf rifles made by every manufacturer that existed in the last 6 decades and never saw that finish, rebarrels a few similar by choice of the payer or gunsmith but never mass production.

Is it the aestheic like how gen z hipster chick's keep asking to buy my worn out carhartt bibs to make pants? I get a fine grit bead blast to knock down glare, but this looks like 101 ways to collect dirt and add surface area to test the corrosion resistance of stainless. Is there a technical reason for it?

Yes!! Cause it looks cool and different. And that's coming from a gen boomer hipster

Well pass the flat brim hat, the salt life sticker, squat my truck, pass the yeti cooler and sand my barrel with some Emory cloth.... I'm in.
