I agree with taking it back to Cabelas. Offer to let the customer service team select some ammo from their shelf to load. When they see the problem with a rifle they sold and ammo they sell, they will (or should) have no option but to take it back.
Saami can be pretty strange between ammo and chabers! I wouldn't rule out a problem there.Agreed, but the op says the chamber is within saami specs. At least this is how I read his last post.
I've had 4 Christensen rifles.
I would not buy another one of their products.
Cabelas isnt going to let anybody open a box of ammo or let someone chamber a live round or take back any firearm.I agree with taking it back to Cabelas. In my experience, I can actually say the opposite on all three of your claims that Cabelas will not do. They have let me open ammo boxes to inspect rounds, the STAFF has chambered live rounds to test function right in front of me, and I have returned a firearm I purchased the day before when I found a defect.Cabelas isnt going to let anybody open a box of ammo or let someone chamber a live round or take back any firearm.
Best option is to call Christensen- they will email you a return label to send it back and they will fix it or give you your money back
My experience says it's not true- ive actually been able to do all three things in the store. You can knock Cabelas for some things, but their customer service is not one of them. They've never denied me any request if it meant me making a satisfied and informed purchase, and have helped me in returns of all types many times. That said, their pricing can be a bit high at times, but they are brick and mortar so I can't fault them for that.If true, a good reason to not purchase a firearm from Cabela's.
Especially a Christensen.
I was just looking at my Cabela's catalog. Christensen Arms Ridgeline bolt rifle. "Guaranteed sub-1-MOA accuracy"
Guess they don't have to honor that warranty for rifles that won't shoot.
I once returned an 1187 youth shotgun to Cabela's that would not eject properly and left the store with a replacement without any hassle at all. That being said I've worked with 3 CA rifles that have been very good. YMMVRoger that. It was purchased from Cabela's. Not Christensen.
If Cabela's won't accept returns on a defective, non-functional firearm, why buy from them?
Having expressed my opinion, I can't confirm Cabela's firearm return policy. Never bought a gun there.
But at least jpfrog has returned a firearm successfully to Cabela's. So that speaks well for the company.
I hope that's sarcasm ?Another satisfied owner (former).
Yup. Sarcasm... Sorry...I hope that's sarcasm ?
I didn't have all 3 at once , bought the 7 rem first and it was good.
Liked it so much I got 270wsm and it was a total lemon and waited 3 months for a barrel that never showed up, so I spoke to Javelin (there guy at Christensen ) and he apologized and blew some smoke up my *** that he was going to send me a hard case Christensen labeled gun case and a bunch of hats and that my barrel was on its way which also never happened . So another 3 month go by . So I replaced the 270 Ridgeline with 7-08 which was a great shooter. Got 33nosler which was ok but wouldn't shoot what I wanted too so it's gone.
I replaced with Fierce 270 wsm and a 28 nosler. The Fierce are a much better product in my opinion.
