I'm brand new to the forum, but have gathered a bunch of very useful info so far. I wish I had checked here before I purchased my new Ridgeline at Cabela's a few weeks ago. Looks like another quality control issue from CA, as it's very difficult to close the bolt with factory ammo. I'm attaching a picture of a round that I've chambered several times. I've clean it to the best of my abilities and still getting marks on the brass. Called CA today and was told to send it in. Going to have a local gunsmith scope it first, because CA said the turnaround time was 6 weeks . I know it's ridiculous, but I'd rather pay to have the chamber polished than be without the rifle for the next 6 weeks. I asked the guy at CA if they ever read what was said about them on the forums and he said no. Shame, they don't seem to care about their reputation. He told me that as part of their quality control, that they have three different people load the rifle to check it, I'm calling bs. No way someone loaded mine without noticing how difficult it is to close the bolt. Just thought you guys would like to know. I'll let you know what the local gunsmith finds on the scope.

It's a 26 Nosler. Not many choices out there. I was planning on reloading for it and have some Nosler brass, but I haven't set up the dies yet. Was wanting to shoot one box of factory ammo for my break in.

Those marks are running parallel to the bore. I am having a hard time seeing how CA would have done this. If the marks were perpendicular to the bore I would say they got a metal chip while reaming.

This mark definitely looks like it's rubbing the port on the receiver when ejected.

I decided to use a sharpie on a fresh case and noticed that, after checking the others that the base of the shoulders are getting pretty scratched up.
