Announcing the New Hammer HHT

Steve might have to answer this but im confused on how a damaged tip would affect it on game? I cant see it affecting the bullet to open up. When tips come installed ill give them another try.
I don't think is what happen at the impack of the bullet, but it's flight path change some down range. Not much, but some.

It won't effect the terminal performance. @fordy tried to make them fail by damaging them. He did find some way to cheat and make one fail. I don't remember now what it was. Something like hitting a tree first. Maybe he will answer that.

By the way. I have put in a bunch of the tips and I haven't seen a deformed one yet. So there is not that many. I know one of the batches that we got had to sorted because they had some trouble with the mold. This is why we spent the money to get our own mold. This way we have much better control. We also try to make sure that each box of bullet comes with a couple extra tips.

The mud caked hogs were good pictures, bullets had to get through about 4 fingers worth to perform.

Hard to push in low capacity cartridges.
Like Steve said, you have to use different powders. I've got my 6BR up to 3000 FPS with a 69gn AH, used Accurate 2460 and 1680. That's a solid 5-7gn less of water capacity than a 6x47, from a 14" pistol barrel, and not the lightest bullet they sell in 6mm. Varget was awful to work with even though it's pretty much the standard powder for the case.

Steve stated earlier in this thread that they have been working on getting a machine to do so but it won't be until 2024. Since people were requesting them he decided to release them early for those interested that didn't mind installing the tips themselves. Sometime next year once the machine gets set up they will all be installed prior to leaving the factory.

^^^^^^^ This ^^^^^^^

I believe that Stave told everyone this when he announced the tips being available!

He's not a multi-million corporation with tremendously deep pockets . We should be thankful that they are offered and we didn't have to wait until he acquired the machine to install the tips.

With our continued purchasing…..the machine can be bought sooner!

Until then, "suck it up buttercup"! Others will enjoy using a great bullet, in spite of a small inconvenience! memtb

Transparency has its cost. @RockyMtnMT has from the beginning listed his phone number on a public forum. He'll even provide an in person face to face. @ButterBean has as well.

Good folks.

I learned so much from my grandad a couple come to mind: 1) Never bother the monkey about the music, go straight to the organ grinder. 2) Just cause the dogs bark no need to stop the car.
