Absolute Hammer load data

The N565 will be a little slow for the potential vel in the 6.5 PRC the N555 might work really good.
That's what I was leaning towards and hopefully the N555 works better because I've got 1500 of the 153.5 Bergers to use the N565 for or the 181 Hunters in the .300 Win Mag since I can't find RL26 and I'm almost out.

I'm finding , that a slightly compressed load with Hammers or absolutes gets you too your max velocity with the correct powder ,absolutes usually 2 too 3 grs more with the same bullet weight or close too but slightly longer oal with the absolutes especially with a 26 in barrel. The faster powder isn't always the right move , sometimes more than not if you have room for more powder and pressure out go with a slower powder. I just got through with some load work up with the 6.5.PRC 124 gr 123 gr and the 109 with N560 and cci200 at 3422,3500 and 3728 max loads I'll post details later, all compressed loads some a little more than others primer pockets still good and tight.
I concur, use the fastest powder with no less than 98% case fill, everything I load crunches by the way

Looking to load the 109s but couldn't get N560 so I got 8 pounds of N555 and N565 instead. Once I get the reloading bench built on our range at our cabin I'll be able to do load work ups on the line which will save me significant time in developing a load.
You might try HV100. I use it with the 109 in my 6.5-284 Norma and get 3511 fps. Granted it's not 3800 fps, but it's very accurate and 3500 fps is nothing to sneeze at

I tried H100V with the 123 AH but found out it was too temp sensitive for my liking. I'm running it in 18" barrels so I'm trying to gain all the velocity I can get.

25 in barrel
3800fps is excellent from that Bbl length. I was running them at 3880 fps from my 25SST 26" but it was a hot load. I dropped them down to 3780, that's where they shot best. Then the other day I was running them at 3750, with a 100 yd zero and shot them at 300 yards holding dead on and they only had 2.5" of drop.

I've heard a rumor going around that someone on here is pushing the 140gr AH at 3100' in their 22" barreled 7mm-08AI.
If anyone knows the details about this load, I'd love to see it. That sounds like an excellent all around combination for the lower 48.

Wilkup,
Look at Absolute Hammer Load Data on this Forum. Best speed I see is 3050 with accuracy. Saw 3100, but no accuracy.

That's what I do.

I'm putting a 69AH into 6BR Rem for the first time, QL spit out H322 and A2460 as 95%+ fill, 95+% burn. But I'm also trying A1680 based on it being a step or two faster combined with previous experience using it at low densities and AHs prefering faster in general. It's coming in in the high 80s% so not super light, but we'll see. Worst case it's slow and/or groups like garbage. Been there before 🤣

6x45 win brass necked up cci 400 primer 28.0gr. xterminator powder 69gr. absolute hammer 2.345 c.o.a.l crimped with Lee fcd 3164 fps 8shot average with magneto speed 1/4 moa out to 200 I have not shot it any further as of yet. Rifle is an Origin action Preferred prefit barrel 1in 10 twist 22 inches Jewell trigger Greyboe stock

I acquired a 257 weatherby magnum in a vanguard deluxe this last week and got a load for it up and running today and I'm very happy with the results.
257 weatherby magnum
Weatherby brass
1-10 twist 26" barrel
90gr absolute hammer
H4350 powder
Federal 215 primer
3.250 oal
35 degrees temperature
68.-3640fps
68.5- 3743fps
69.- 3783fps
69.5- 3790fps
70.- 3829fps
70.5- 3853fps
71.-3839fps
71.5- 3884fps slight swipe
72.-3980fps heavy bolt and ejector swipe
The entire ladder test shot under 3/4 inch except the last shot. I'll probably load up 71 and try to print a group before season if I'm able but I think this dog will hunt.

I got up to 3060 in my 24" barrel 7-08ai with the 140 absolute hammer.

Accuracy was at 3003 fps though. .3-.4MOA consistently out to 600 yards so far. Dropped the coues deer I shot at just under 400 yards a few weeks ago without any fuss. Pretty sure it'll be my go to for everything up to elk or if I really need to reach out and hit something. Then I'll grab my .300 win mag with 199 hammer hunters that are going 3090fps.

Load for my 7-08ai is:
Case: Nosler 7-08 fireformed to my 40° ai Chamber
primer: Fed 210m
Powder: 45.2gr Varget
COAL: 2.900"
Crimped 1/4 turn with a Lee factory crimp.
