Absolute Hammer load data

That's an awesome load. I love my 162 AH load at 3024 fps in my 30-06, but I'm a velocity junkie, so you've got me thinking about going to the 151 AH. What similar burn rate is the Shooters World Precision powder close to, since I really don't know much about it??
I did a lot if research on Shooters World Precision. Everything I found was favorable and people were saying you could load it grain for grain with Varget. Since Varget was impossible to find I went with it. Turned out to be the best load I've ever come up with. Wish I had the same luck with my 25-06, 90 grain absolute hammer. Tried the 4451 that looked promising on the load data sheet. I got 3 to 4 inch groups at 200 yards. Going to try Big Game next and the Shooters World Precision. The Lee FCD sure helps tighten things up.

I run H4350 on my 92g Hammer Hunters with good results. Have tried it on the absolutes?

Thanks for the info, and I'll seriously look into that powder
Now that all the IMR Enduron powders are being discontinued, it's good that you have alternatives.

The temps have dropped here into the lower 60s steady so I got the 30-06 to the range.
Ruger m77 Hawkeye ftw hunter 24" barrel
Winchester 30-06 brass
Remington 91/2 magnum primer
1/4 crimp using lee die
Imr 4064
51-no read
51.5- 2892
52- 2913
52.5-2973
53.-2979
53.5- 3016
54.- 3034
54.5-3085
55-3075
55.5-3134
56-3139
Accuracy was ok about 1 1/2 inches plus a flyer or two but the core group was the size of a golfball. No pressure signs throughout the test.
Have you tried "tuning" your load with the Lee FCD?. Changing tension often changes your group size. (When I say tuning, I mean try 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 turn, etc)

151 absolute hammer, sorry I changed the post I'm not sure how I missed that.

No I have not, this was a preliminary ladder test so groups aren't final. I'll probably load 56 grains and see how she groups. I'll try tuning it if it doesn't produce good results

Just got some 155 AH to compare to my 155HHs in my 7SS. I run 57gr of H4350 @ 3048fps (stiff bolt at 58gr 3113fps) out of a 26" Proof CF. Varget was stiff bolt at 50gr @2938. Wondering what to try with the AHs? Would Varget be better with the Absolutes?

What was your case fill like ?
I'm finding , that a slightly compressed load with Hammers or absolutes gets you too your max velocity with the correct powder ,absolutes usually 2 too 3 grs more with the same bullet weight or close too but slightly longer oal with the absolutes especially with a 26 in barrel. The faster powder isn't always the right move , sometimes more than not if you have room for more powder and pressure out go with a slower powder. I just got through with some load work up with the 6.5.PRC 124 gr 123 gr and the 109 with N560 and cci200 at 3422,3500 and 3728 max loads I'll post details later, all compressed loads some a little more than others primer pockets still good and tight.

I'm starting to think the same thing concerning powder choice. About to see after I test the .257 90gr AH's some more.

Looking to load the 109s but couldn't get N560 so I got 8 pounds of N555 and N565 instead. Once I get the reloading bench built on our range at our cabin I'll be able to do load work ups on the line which will save me significant time in developing a load.

The N565 will be a little slow for the potential vel in the 6.5 PRC the N555 might work really good.
