A little 6.5 SAUM action in New Mexico

Took this 5X6 a couple of days ago in New Mexico with my Lane Precision Rifle in 6.5 SAUM and Berger 140 VLD.

That would be a great bull even if he was a spike with that width and mass. Congrats. Great to see the little 6.5's getting it done.

What part of the state? I grew up out that way and sure miss it. I try to make Mario drag me out with him every time he goes!

That's an amazing bull! Congratulations! I've got a buddy that is hunting muzzleloader season this week over south of Gallup. What part of the state were you hunting?

Nice scope tape too! I've done that a time or two and it makes dialing elevation super simple

Distance was only 367 yards. Bergers made quarter size hole (2) upon entrance and jello pudding of the vitals.

The bull was taken in unit 12 near the El Morro monument with outfitter Keith Williams. Ironically, it was taken in the same valley as the bull in my avatar.

The only way to roll. It is super simple and makes doping very quick when in a hurry.
