Just got my EGW scope base in yesterday and I pulled my Luepold MKIV 6.5x20 off another rifle to run some factory Hornady 160gr cx ammo through to see what I have. I've reloaded since 1972 but I'm looking to shoot factory ammo in this rifle as it will go to my son who most likely won't be loading ammo. I still plan on trying the Quigley Ford 5x20x50 dual focal plane scope. Will give update after turkey season.

Great looking rifle
Thanks! I just gave my son the same rifle chambered in 6.5 prc with a Z6 Swarovski 5x30 BT scope on it. Got .4 moa @100yds wit factory nosler 140gr ballistic tips. I actually shot 3 different brands and 3 different bullet weight all factory loads and all under .5 moa. They are shootersfor sure. My youngest brother has the same rifle in 28 nosler shooting nosler factory ammo with .4moa. I've owned a few custom rifle that were shooters also but a lot more expensive. This picture is the rifle I gave my so.

Thanks for the info. I just got a 7PRC and am looking to get into reloading. What die sets do you recommend?

Just completed my 7mmprc project after mounting the Quigley Ford 5x20x50 30mm dual focal plane scope. Well after taking it to the range I can say I'm impressed. It tracks perfectly and the German glass is crystal clear. I've set it up to shoot factory ammo as my son will eventually get this set-up one day (hopefully not to soon) the ammo is federal premium 175gr.eldx @2980fps from the 22" bbl Savage 110 ultralite with an 11fps extreme spread. After sighting in @ 100yds the wind got up blowing 10mph left to right I fired these 2 rounds that was 3/8" @ 200yds.A friend says he knows someone with a range with steel every 100yds out to 1000yds maybe he will allow me to put to the real test. This photo is 200yds.

That's great velocity with the federal.
That blows the doors off of hornadys crappy ammo.
