Custom .22-250?

You might try a few VLD match 80gr Bergers or Mk Sierras, they work great in my 1-8 barrel... .223 Rem. Have fun, good luck...;) Cheers
I have a ton of the 69 and 77 SMKs too.

I don't have any 22 cal Bergers, but I imagine they'd do great as well.

I'm also not counting out some of the coppers.

Update:
I just came home with a 22-250 Tikka T3X Lite, 1-8" twist. It was on sale and had a gift card so it was meant to be.
First things first, I need to get a scope on there and get some rounds down range. I'm contemplating what glass will sit on top…probably a Nightforce.
I'm going to load up some 77 TMKs and they'll be the bullet of choice as I have quite a few. Thinking about using RL-16 or H4350.
Down the road…but not that far down the road, I'll be looking at a KRG Echo chassis and a thread job for the barrel.
My Tikka loves those 77 TMKs !

More in regards to bullet choice, I've been shooting 52gr speer hollow points, hit a small one in the head at 70 yards and no exit, they have a huge hollow point. You won't win a turkey shoot with em but they're sure nice for saving hides. Shooting a factory Tikka t3 i think it's a 1-14. Just loaded some 44gr hammers that shoot one hole, gonna try this winter on dogs. AI 22-250's with a fast twist have been tempting! But this old one does the job for now. Good luck!

The other consideration I was thinking is:
Hammer Bullet Option
Yep standard bolt and any short action. If it used to be a 22-250 you can put inba full length mag box or alter yours and run the 2.8+ box length.

If considering monos Id think of the 6.5" twist to be ready for any new bullets that dont exist at the moment.

Its a great cartridge and im excited to see what ya build.

Well, here's where I ended up. It's been a spell since I started the thread, but I did get there and I'm happy with the results.

I still have work to do, but I'd have no problem taking game at 6 hundo right now.

It looks good with good vel's and accuracy. Have you considered playing with the Sierra or Berger 80gr match to compare the two? I started years ago with the 77grs bullets, but... after getting into the 80gr'ers, well... they really picked up the game, in my .223 and .22-250 AI... By the way, nice looking set up. 😉 🫡 Cheers
