7mm STW Reloading Thread

Finally got a couple boxes to start this project. Now anyone got a Lead on some of that RL25/26 or maybe H1000????

H1000 and Retumbo are available, but I wouldn't even develop a load with Alliant powder right now unless you could secure a few years use worth of powder before development.
The last slow burning powder I bought myself was a couple kegs of v570. The slow Vit. powders ARE somewhat available and load data can be rooted out if you look about a bit. They are still spendy, but they are rather uniform and they seem to do their part without messing things up for everything else.

I've been searching for 7828 for a couple years now….no luck. I recently picked up some Grand and RL25 to preserve my stash of RL26 and in hopes of finding a replacement for 7828.

Rl25 works great with the 168's

Guys? I found a stach of RL 22. Is this a good start with some 160 AB's, the 160 TSX Barns? Also might try some 168 Custom Competitions also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated before going to pick this RL22 up possibly. They had some H1000 and Rutombo also. Thanks

I'm not sure about the rl22, others will know better than me, the h1000 should be good

rl22 is at it's best with 140-150 grain pills in the 7stw. That said, rl22 will serve you well with 160's also. By the time you get to 175's, you ought to be thinking of something like us869 or H50BMG for the fuel.

RL22 works well with 150 Nossler combined tech Molly coated if you can still find them. I'm surprised you found R22.
H1000 seems to appear slightly more often though and may be the deciding factor to think about.
