Howdy Reach! Y'all gonna love this!
I have them on 2 rifles, they work very well. One is full length bed block on a Rem700 that has a Shelin barrel in '06.The other is a Rem700 in 243 with a piller bed stock. Both shoot very well, but are not set up long range shooting.has any one had anything. to do wih hoque stocks. and dua coatany imput would be helpfull
Fed ammo is usually good stuff. If she doesn't like it I'd try some Nosler stuff with accubond bullets. I've seen three 7stw's eat the 140 nos accubond bullet to 1/2 moa. Thanks guys, I haven't shot it since the new mounts/glass and ammo. Hoping all goes as good as with the fed. gamekings. Don't reload,so I have to hope for the best with factory. Trying to get out next week.
9 1/8" or so is standard. If your bbl is aftermarket like mine you may see a 10" twist. My stick didn't like remmy factory ammo. Unfortunately fed doesn't make the 160 gamekings anymore. I did buy some nosler 160 AB and doubletap with also160 AB. Trying to stay with 160s, but will go to 140s if they don't shoot. Did they make diff rates of twist or is there a standard for this rifle/caliber?
What primer are you usingAny ideas as to why I'm getting flyers? They seem to be the same distance from the main group. First pic was shot last saturday. Outside temp maybe 60 deg. Good cross wind.
Same load as above, shot today, but temp was 20 deg colder. Barrel never got warmer than luke warm. 6 shots total. First 2 shots, cold bore, were almost touching. 3rd shot was the 1st low flyer.
3 shots but bullet seated into the lands at 3.195" to ogive vs 3.175". Shot a few minutes after picture 2. Barrel never got hot but there was probably a 20 deg swing in barrel temp.
