7mm STW Brotherhood - For those who shoot the 7mm Shooting Times Westerner

Shot my factory SPS 7STW today. I have a new stainless Brux for it but the last few days have been pondering about making two guns. Thinking of buying a stainless action to go with the Brux and Greybull stock, then setting this barrel/action back in the factory stock that I previously bedded and stiffened.
It just seems to shoot this one load well enough that I am having trouble just tossing the barrel in a dumpster. I guess there's some attachment after all the time I have with it. Probably ought to set it back in the old stock before I get too far along and see what it does.

Same ol' load; 73.0 rl25, 180 bergers set .025 off the lands.

Two and two from 100 with about 10 mph cross wind.

Nice shooting Wapiti Bob. Tells us how the Brux cleans up when she breaks in. I've heard they are pretty clean. I need another 7 barrel. I like the 1-9 twist.

That would be awesome Len! Oh, and like everyone else has said, thanks for the forum! It has been extremely helpful over the years.

A 7STW sub-forum would be great!

Sweet shootin Bob!

There will some new STW owners soon here as well. I have 6 builds going on in the shop right now building STW's not including my personal and the shop owners rifle build. Once I show them the performance of the STW and it's versatility, they're sold. One our local retail shops also stocks 4 different factory loads for it which a lot of them like (who are not reloaders).
Remington is also offering a SPSish rifle for under $600 retail in STW as well. We just found a few with our suppliers.

Hey Len, I have wondered for a while if it would be possible to make an iPhone App for accessing this forum? The reason I ask is that using the search browser on your phone is very intailing, that you have to do alot of zooming in and out, surfing the forum is fairly annoying, too.

Anyway, just throwing that out there.

Thanks

I've been kicking around the idea of selling my stw and going in a different direction. Its a Winchester 70 classic stainless factory gun with a dnz one piece base mount and a vortex viper 6.5-20x44. I'm the second owner and it looks basically new. I've got about 200 pieces of new brass less the 20 I sized, of which about 10 are once fired, and two sets of rcbs dies. Thoughts on an asking price, should I part it out? keep it and tell my wife I traded it for what I have in mind as a new build:)
