7mm Remington Magnum ?

Hey guys I'm new to the vld scene and just bought some 180's. My twist is 9 3/4" my barrel length is 26". do you think my rifle will have a problem stabilizing this bullet?

While a 1/9 is optimal- My guess is you should be fine. If not go down to the 168VLD. Another great bullet, very slight loss of BC, but it can be drove abit faster. Also will easily stabilize in you rifle.
 
After looking at all the post it looks like reloader powder is the one to use for 7mm mag. My best load with 140 b-tip
is 68.0 grains of RL22 it grouped 3 shots @ 100 yds .171
that is with a 24" sporter barreled Savage 110.
 
Rl-22 is a fantastic powder for 7mm class rounds...

It works great out of both my 7 RM and 7 WSM w/140g NBT.

7 RM likes 68.5g RL-22, 3250fps, .3" @100 yards
7 WSM likes 69g RL-22, 3300fps, .175" @100 yards

Both of these rifles are factory sporters as well...
