7mm-08 Load Data for heavy for caliber bullets

7mm-08 is an underrated cartridge. Extremely accurate. The factory ammo available cripples it IMO. It will shoot those 160-170 class for sure, not sure on the bullets above that as far as velocity and twist rate. To wake it up though, you need to reload for that cartridge. As stated above, we got 160 accubonds 2664 FPS out of H4350 in a 22" barrel.
My 6.5 Sherman Herman Magnum was producing 3150 with a standard deviation of -.1 getting 1/4 inch groups at 350 yards and it will roundhouse a 7mm-08 any day

Is this on topic? Is the OP open to mag-face bolt cartridge suggestions or strictly standard bolt face?

My 22" suppressed 7 SAW (7mm-08 35° Improved) pushes the 168 VLD 2940 fps with 48 grains N550 and holds less than 3" of vertical at 1000 yards. That's a hot load but that cartridge likes it hot.
Id recommend making your own ammo with Lapua 308 Palma brass. It withstands much higher pressure than the large primer brass and gives better consistent ES with the small primers.

I do make my own ammo. Also using Lapua and pushing a 168 vld 6.5 3100. I use channel locks to get the bolt open but man that thing is hotter then a house fire and dead on balls accurate

ELDX 162 seated to mag length with 4166, 39.2 gr. @ 2600 fps.
And using Butter Beans crimp method.
My wife's 18 year old Tilkka T3 is a shooter with this recipe. Last years first attempt at 1000 yds, 24" steel. Upper 3 are my 300wm. Lower 3 tikka
