6mm Creedmoor issue

You expect better from Remington. I had the worst bore I ever saw on a savage 223. The button chattered all the way from breech to muzzle. Would copper would in 3 shots and accuracy never was decent. It's now a 20VT that is the most accurate rifle I've ever owned. Lights out on groundhogs. Last year, I put a match grade tube on my Savage short action in 250AI. This tube was from Preferred barrel blanks and had the most perfect bore of any match barrel I own. Absolutely zero anomalies but a horrible chamber job. Chips embedded, just horrible (pic attached). I had to hone it to prevent brass from hanging up and severe marks on brass.
I just picked up a Blank from Preferred for a 300WSM I'm building. I'll be cutting my own chamber.

JG, that's great. I am waiting on another barrel from them in 284 Win. I've talked to them about better care in cutting this chamber or it will be coming back this time. Had another bad barrel a few years ago. Shilen over polished a 280AI chamber and it had a .007" bulge on one side and the guy tried to get me to keep it. I sent it back and they had to make a new barrel. Never dealt with them again. Have pac Nor, Hart, & Krieger with no issues

Yeah this chamber isn't the best either. I'm actually still concerned as there are still scratches on the projectile. I'm waiting to here back from the gunsmith WRT the actual findings other then a burr. I'm now having reservations that this burr wasn't the only issue. Wondering if he actually inspected it.

Well..This just isn't my year. Ended up returning that 6Creedmoor. The chamber/bore issues continued.
got a in store credit. Only thing similar in stock was the RPR GEN3 (ruger precision rifle) in 6.5 CM. Got it home, disassembled, cleaned and a borescope peek. WELL LOOK AT THIS

Mind if I ask what equipment and method you are cleaning with? Those marks look fresh and through the factory bluing.
I don't mind. No brushes were used. Just patch wetted with Hornady gun cleaner as it's new didn't feel was necessary. I use One piece dewey rods with brass jags.
You'll just have to trust me. Those marks definitely didn't come my cleaning methods.
Thanks for the response though.

Have you shot it yet? I have a factory Savage rifle in 6.5-284 Norma that looks like I cleaned it with a chain and has looked like that since day1. Shoots sub MOA.
Haven't shot yet. I'm sure it will be fine. Just really disappointed in the last two rifles.
my next rifle will be another Sako. None of those arrived looking like that. Although I'm sure they've had their own issues.

One of the reasons I went to BYO. Cost a little more but I have control of everything. I don't have as many rifles but the ones I have are exactly as I expect them to be.
