Thanks, but it won't stay in the factory stock long. I will get a chassis for which ever one I choseThe Ruger should be a touch more refined than the savage. Only knock I have against a savage is their fit/finish. They shoot fine, have good enough triggers, the nicer models have decent stocks, pre-fit barrels are available. I just don't like the looks of them, classic ford/chevy/dodge debate.
Your review helped me decide on a caliber in the mini. Its a neat rifle.Dont forget the Howa Mini. I absolutely love mine, my wife uses it and she loves it too. If you're looking into picking a rifle, I have a detailed analysis on the Howa Mini 6 ARC here
I had a first gen RA. I liked it a lot but it sounded like a Transformer when working the bolt. It went back to the factory twice. First before i even shot it noticed the stock wasnt torqued but bolt was tight. The Ruger should be a touch more refined than the savage. Only knock I have against a savage is their fit/finish. Did you add a bolt knob to yours? For my setup Im always nearly ripping a thumb nail off when workin fast. Lol
Yes it very much a gun you don't move fast with the bolt. I like the rifle but just haven't found the right load for but still working on that once I get it back from the gunsmith as he is working on the trigger.Your review helped me decide on a caliber in the mini. Its a neat rifle.
